I was looking forward to watching Meg 2 but after leaving the theater "Meg 2" didn't quite live up to the excitement of the first installment, it still had its moments. The first hour or so were a bit slow and lacking in shark action, leaving me wanting more Meg. However, things picked up towards the end with some fun and thrilling scenes. I loved the emergence of not one, not two, but THREE megs on Fun Island. Fun Island was my favorite part of this film, who can forget the bravery of that little Yorkie who was ready to go paw to fin with the Meg. Plus, that surprising octopus appearance from the trench which I wished made an appearance earlier in the film. These moments injected the movie with some much-needed excitement.

I do think they could’ve flushed out some of the characters a bit more particularly with the introduction of mysterious people mining in the trench. Additionally, I couldn't help but question the believability of the high-tech suits featured in the movie. Overall, "Meg 2: THE TRENCH" offers a mix of thrilling shark action and intriguing storyline, with some shortcomings. I think this is one of those movies that you could wait to watch on a streaming site.
